I’m Amanda Fernandez– Mawter class of 2014. English major Pre-med student.  I am a very proud Latina (half Dominican, half Honduran) and am currently on the Mujeres (Latin Affinity Club) executive board as the Public Action Committee Chairwoman.

I’m a crazy procrastinator–my excuse usually something along the lines of, “Pressure makes diamonds.” I also tend to accidentally overextend myself. Don’t ask me how I handle having two of the most detrimental qualities any college student could have.

So, enjoy as I ramble my way through this perilous journey…as I delve into my second year of stress-induced hair loss, intense weight fluctuation, and rising levels of sarcasm and cynicism (oh, and frequent late night scrambling for change and walks to the vending machine for sour cream and onion chips. Or pretzel M&M’s).
